Merry Christmas!

Hi Friends!

I have a mixed media project to show you that I have been working on, and I'm entering it over at A Mixed Media Color Challenge.  The theme is any color and to do a holiday project.  I was looking through the Lowe's flier of craft ideas that I received in the mail.  It showed project ideas with paper mache trees.  And, one showed trees with white caulk!  Uh huh, as seen above there are my white caulk trees...lol!  But, I think they turned out lovely!  That caulk went on like icing...so smooth!  All I did was apply it and used a spoon to decorate.  I sprinkled white glitter for shabby chic detail.  Here is a close up of the smaller tree...

After the caulk dried, I wrapped Tim Holtz tinsel ribbon around the trees.  I added Paper Sweeties Vintage Winter White seam binding ribbon.  Also, a sentiment from Paper Sweeties using the stamp set Season of Love was stamped and tied with silver thread.  The sentiments says...Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!  Silver leaves and bells were placed for added interest.  For the finishing touch I adhered a lovely flower from Martha Stewart.  So, what do you think of my shabby chic trees made with caulk?

I thank you so much for viewing my trees today!  Hope you are having a great weekend.  And, I'm wishing for you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

I also love that you used to put your shoes out on Dec. 5 when you were little. That was the original tradition of what was filled. Thanks for sharing that in your comment.
