Valentine...

Hi, Friends!

Popping in quick again to share with you a card I made for my husband.  The darling turtle doves are from Simon Says.  The stitched circle die and sentiment are from MFT.  The heart background was made with a stencil from MFT, also.  Epoxy hearts to finish the Valentine.

We are in for a snow storm here tonight and into tomorrow.  We have been quite lucky with a mild winter.  The weatherman is predicting up to 6 inches of snow with blowing and drifting.  The plan will be to stay in and stay warm.  And, I can always make more cards, right?!:)

Thanks so much for dropping by to visit!  Take care and stay safe!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a couple Valentine cards.  Very easy cards that I made today.  I'm quite pleased how the first one came out being that it was upcycled.

For my upcycled Valentine card I started with a white card base and added the heart rose cut out from a Brighton receipt holder.  The sentiment is from MFT and the gems are from Ink Road.  So easy and I couldn't throw away the pretty roses, right?!

Next up is another easy card made with two stencils from MFT...

The scalloped panel was die cut using a die from Mama Elephant.  I used a cloud stencil from MFT with two distress inks spun sugar and picked raspberry.    The hearts were made using a MFT stencil with the distress ink picked raspberry.  A small pearl heart was added to the inside of the gold heart.  Gold alpha stickers were placed.  And, gold color shine from Heidi Swapp was sprayed on for the final touch.

I hope you all are doing well!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care!

Hugs!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, Crafty Friends!

Have you started any Valentine cards yet?  I'd like to share with you one that I made for my son today!
I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.

For my card, I started with a white card base and used a MFT stitched circle die to cut a circle.  I used a larger stitched circle for the background to make the sky.  The cloud stencil and heart paper is from MFT, also.  The gnome is from Simon Says.  I die cut flowers from the Lawn Fawn set Party Animal.  The stems and leaves are from a Paper Sweeties set Pretty Posies.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I just love the darling gnome!  He can be used for any occasion!

I used a scalloped frame die for the red panel inside the card.  The hearts were die cut using Lawn Fawn Party Animal.  The sentiment was computer generated, also.

Please do take good care and stay safe.  It continues to be quite rough out there with the Covid virus.  In fact, yesterday was a sad day losing a friend of mine from church.  The virus went through her children and grandchildren.  And, my friend had medical conditions that made it worse for her.  My heart is truly sad.

My crafting gives me a great distraction from so many things that we can't control.  It truly is a blessing to make cards and send them to others.  I recently made four for people from my church affected with the virus.  And, with Valentine's Day that will soon be here,  I need to get going on making many cards to send out.  I love making Valentine cards!  Ok, that's all for now.  Again, please do take good care!

Updated...

Here is one of the cards I made and talked about yesterday.  I forgot to post it.  I made four cards in colors of pink/purple, yellow, orange, and red.  The red one is my favorite.

The image is from Jane's Doodles.  The scallop frame is from Mama Elephant.  And, the sentiment is from PTI.

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties January 2021-Look Back Inspiration Day #3!

Day #3 of January Look Back Inspiration for Paper Sweeties!  Today, I made a card with Abigail having some snow fun with her pup!

I started with a white card base and used DO Speckled Egg for the sky.  White acrylic paint was splattered for interest.  Abigail's outfit was paper pieced.  I love the red/black plaid paper from Echo Park.  I wish I had a coat like Abigail's!  Her outfit is from the set Let it Snow.  The snowflake on her hat is from the set Deck the Halls.  The bird is from the same set.  The snowballs for sale sign and sled is from the set Wagon Add-on:  Snowballs for Sale.  The cute dog is from the set Sweeties Pets. The scarf on the dog is from Snow Friends.  All images were colored with copics.  Twine to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties January 2021-Look Back Inspiration Day #2!

It's Day #2 of Looking back on previously released sets with Paper Sweeties!  I have another shaker card today!  I do love making them...so fun!!

For my card, I started with a black card base.  I then stamped the red panel with snowflakes from the set Homemade with Love.  The plaid paper is from MME for the next panel.  The coffee cup is from the same set as the snowflakes.  And, the sentiment is from the set Let it Snow.  Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames was used for the frame.  The sequin mix is Sugar Sprinkles and Strawberry.  Seam binding ribbon(Frosting) to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge-Anything Goes-1-15-21!(using brand of die that DRU sells)

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  And, the theme is (Anything Goes-using brand of die that DRU sells). We ask that you use at least one die on your project.  Come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating!

I made a wintery card with a lovely snowflake from Frantic Stamper.  The blue color showing through the snowflake was colored with an ombre of copic markers.  I then covered the colors with Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel.  The process is a little messy, but the results are a lovely glittery shine!  I learned this technique from Colleen(One Smile Lifts a Spirit).  Thanks again, Colleen!  I applied glitter gel to the frame from Lawn Fawn, also.  Gems from Ink Road to finish the card.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'm popping in to share with you a card I made for my brother-in-law's birthday!  He turns 60 tomorrow!  I had fun using some new products that I got recently from The Greetery.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Challenge.

I started with a white card base and used DO inks for the background.  I die cut several of the crepe paper streamers and thought why not create some depth by use the negative part for a stencil.  The crepe paper streamers and balloons are new, which are from The Greetery.  The scallop border is from MFT.  The numbers are from Crafter's Companion and the stars were made using a punch.  A simple card for me, but I like how it turned out.  I hope Paul, my brother-in-law likes it, too.

Well, not much else is going on here.  We took the last of our Christmas decorations down.  It has been cold, gray, and damp here in NW Ohio.  It certainly would be great to see the sun some time soon.  If you have it where you are, please send some this way!:-)

Things in our world sure have been crazy, right?!  It is so very sad.  I pray for the family and friends who lost loved ones in Washington, D.C. yesterday.  I'm wishing you all peace and happiness.  And, please take good care!  I appreciate all of you who visit here, thank you so much!

Hugs!
