Valentine...

Hi, there!

Back again with another Valentine card.  I made a fun shaker card!  This card is full of hearts with stenciling, heart gems, and heart confetti!

For the background, I used a new stencil from Jillian Vance Design.  It was made with sponging on red and pink distress inks of Saltwater Taffy and Lumberjack Plaid.  The heart is from PTI and the love sentiment is from MFT.  I'm entering this card over at Color Hues Challenge and NBUS .

I have a few more Valentine cards to show you, but I'll share those later.

We finally got some snow here in NW Ohio.  There were lovely snowflakes falling slowly from the sky yesterday.  It was just enough to cover the ground.  My dog, Sheila, had second thoughts about going outside, but then quickly ventured out.  More snow is due to come in a couple of days.  I hope it won't be too bad.  I did notice in the hardware store in town that more plastic sleds were displayed in the window.  It's always great to get some snow for the kids to play in.  I know that I have great memories of sledding and ice skating.

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

  1. Loving those vivid red hearts in the shaker! Pretty valentine! You have my permission to keep all the snow you want in OH as long as it doesn't spill over into PA LOL

  4. What a beautiful Valentine, Maria! You are very generous with your shaker bits, which the recipient will love! I scrolled back through your other Valentines (great!) and saw that you are repainting/reorganizing your craft room. How fun! I love the color and I love reorganizing, so I wish I lived close by! Enjoy the process and thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! And enjoy the snow! Hugs, Darnell

  5. Oh Maria, this card is fabulous! I love that you made a shaker from the heart and I'm loving the stenciling. So pretty!!! A great color combo that Color Hues picked. We got a few slushy snow drops yesterday morning, but then it turned all to rain. No measurable snow yet here in Central PA. Maybe tomorrow? We might get an inch or two....but somehow I doubt it. The counties above me will get it. Thanks for your sweet comment on Snowy the Snowman! Hugs, Brenda

  7. I love your stenciled background and pretty shaker. They hyped snow for three days and we only got a smattering of it. Then a bit more yesterday.
