Happy Mother's Day!

A photo of Mom and me
ten years ago on Mother's Day.
 She is dearly missed.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I'm back at my computer and have a few photos to share.  It has been a great week with my husband on vacation.  We've done some visiting, shopping, and birding.

We had a great day visiting with my son after his work day this past week.  The weather was wonderful his way...sunny in the 70's.  We've had quite a bit of rain and chilly temps.  But, it's warming up in our area to the 70's this week.

My son has worked on the computer and has it running more smoothly.  He came up last night and finished working on it.  Today, we went to lunch and had a delicious meal at our favorite restaurant.

As, if the day couldn't get any better, my husband and I went to Magee Marsh for birding.  It was the final day to celebrate the migration of the warblers that migrate to this area every year.  We are blessed with a couple of eagle nests.  It is so relaxing and fun to see the lovely birds.  People from all over the country come to view the birds and take lots of photos.  Everyone is so helpful to each other, too.  They point and show one another where they can spot and take the perfect photo of the lovely birds!  We even viewed some turtles and a frog enjoying the sun.  I hope you enjoy the photos.  And, here they are...

Well, that's all I have for now.  Thanks so much
for taking the time to view my photos!  I hope you
enjoyed seeing them!  Take care and have
a wonderful week!

Maria

Spring has sprung!

(My neighbor's tree with
lovely white blooms)

Hi, Friends!

It's May and spring has finally sprung around here.  We've been anticipating warmer weather and lovely blooms.  Mother Nature finally granted our wish!  I have a few more photos to share.  They aren't the best for we are having a very windy day here.  But, just the same it's wonderful seeing the gorgeous trees and flowers bloom!  Also, I have a birthday card to share that I made for a friend.

*Edited with better photos...

Ok, now on to my card...

I made the above birthday card for my friend, Nancy, for her birthday next month.  She loves the color purple.  I recently purchased the MFT kit and went to town with these lovely flowers.  So many possibilities with this fun kit!  Everything on the card is from MFT except for the gems.  I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday

Well, that's all for now.  I'm not sure when I'll be back at my blog for we need our son to look at the computer.  Hopefully he'll be able to repair it without much trouble.  Anyways, thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

Dies R Us Challenge-May 1, 2018! (Flowers)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Flowers).  I'll be planting flowers in a couple weeks.  I plant a lot of geraniums around the house.  I won't be planting rose bushes unless I need to.  I hope the winter wasn't too harsh on them.  Anyways, I can hardly wait to get some bright colors around the house to pretty up the place!

Please join us for this fun challenge and have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

I was inspired to make a birthday card with lovely rose dies.  And, here is my card...

I started with a white base and paired it with a water colored background.  The distress inks that I used are worn lipstick, picked raspberry, and seedless preserves.  The rose dies are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The hearts are from Memory Box, and the stitched scallop borders are from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.  Gold twine and gold Nuvo drops to finish the birthday card.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!
