Dies R Us Challenge-February 1, 2019 (Use the color RED!)

Hi, Friends!

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  Happy February 1st!  A month closer to spring...yes!  Also, February brings Valentine projects!

And, I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Use the color RED)!  Come join in on the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate!  Enjoy creating!

I decided to make valentine cards for my husband and son.  The cute chameleon was fun to color with copics!

And, here is my card for my son...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  The scallop circle die is from  Lawn Fawn.  The chameleon stamp with coordinating dies is from Lawn Fawn, also.  I stamped the middle tree with the small heart for interest.  The sky and grass was made using distress inks of broken china, twisted citron, and mowed lawn.  I love how this card turned out!  I hope my son will like it, too!

Next up using the same stamp set is a card for my husband...

Another view of the card...

I know it's difficult to see, but I have the letters R&M for Randy and Maria on the heart that is placed on the middle tree.  I had tons of fun making these Valentines for my husband and son!  And, I'm looking forward to seeing your Valentine projects!

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Thank you!

Hi, there!

Happy Tuesday to you! Are you staying warm?  The temp will be dropping to below zero here tomorrow...brrr!  Wherever you are, I hope you are staying safe and warm!

Today I'm entering my last card over at CCCB.  Sadly, Kirsty has decided to end the challenge site due to her busy life.  We all know how life can get in the way of our crafting and creating.  But, I wish Kirsty the very best!  Her challenge has brought so much inspiration and fabulous designers!  I had the pleasure and honor to guest design a few times.  I will surely miss the fun challenge site!  A big thank you to....Kirsty!!!

And, so my card was made with Kirsty in mind and the lovely inspiration photo!  I created a card with a floral background using Altenew stamps.  And, here is my card...

I started with a white base and stamped the flowers in several ink colors.  I wanted the card to be fairly simple so as to let the flowers take center stage.  The die cut frame is from Paper Sweeties, and the die cut sentiment is from MFT.  The heart and dots added for the final touch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and stay warm!

Hugs!

A new fur baby!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you all are staying warm!  It is quite cold here with temps in the teens.  And, to think it is going to be much colder next week below zero....brrrr!

Anyways, as you can see above we have a new family member, Sheila!  She is a rescue from the Humane Society.  She joined our family a couple days ago.  She settled in and is doing well.  I did housework today and she followed me everywhere, lol!  I'm sure she will soon find out that housework is very boring.  But, just being around me I'm sure gives her a lot of comfort.  We went from having a big German Shepherd to this little one.  We do miss Shadow our German Shepherd.

Our new dog is a chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix.  My husband told me that he doesn't want to get another German Shepherd until he retires.  I had a cocker spaniel ten years ago, which was my dog.  I was ready for a smaller dog again.  All you pet lovers out there know that dogs can be a lot of work, but they certainly can bring a lot of joy!

Ok, well, I do have a card to share today.  I've been working on some Valentine cards.  I made three of these to send out to a few ladies that I visit from my church...

I started with a red card base.  The cardinal from Newton's Nook was colored with copics.  The hearts and sentiment is from MFT.  The oval die cut is from Lil' Inker.  Glitter washi tape and gems  to finish the card.  Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and stay warm!

Hugs,

Paper Sweeties January 2019-Winter Inspiration Day #3!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Day 3 of January 2019-Blast from the past-Winter Inspiration!  There isn't a new release this month, so the team is sharing inspiration with some winter favorites!

For my card, I decided to make a snow scene with Abigail.  Her outfit is from the set Let It Snow.  She is having fun in the snow pulling her toy red truck from the set Merry Christmas Y'all.  The back of the truck is filled with snowballs for sale!  The snowballs and sign are from the set Wagon Add-on: Snowballs For Sale.

Also, the darling red bird is from the set I Love Summer.  The star burst stamped and colored on her hat is from the same set.  The background sky was embossed with snowflakes from the set Thanks Snow Much and covered with a vellum panel.

Project Supplies:

Well, that's all for our winter edition favorites from past releases this month!  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the inspiration!   Please take a peek at the list below of my talented teammates to view more inspiration!
