Happy Birthday!

Hi, crafty friends!

What a beautiful day here in NW Ohio.  It's a perfect fall day for my birthday!  Later this evening I plan to have dinner with our son at a favorite restaurant.  My husband this morning surprised me with a  lovely bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate to a craft store!  Yesterday, I had a great time at my sister's condo with all my sisters to celebrate my birthday, so fun!

My sister, Christina, gave me the nutcracker(baker) and a cookie jar(truck).  I usually bake Christmas cookies for them to take home when we get together in December.  It must be a hint to do it again this year!:-)

They also had decorated a Parisian theme for my birthday, so sweet!!

Tomorrow is my SIL, April's birthday!  A big happy birthday to you, April!  I am hoping that by now that she received her birthday card.  I had tons of fun making her the flower card!  I am entering this card over at the Flower Challenge.

And, here is the card...

I already posted this card in IG, so some of you have already seen it.  The sunflower dies are from Honey Bee.  Ink sprays, ribbon, and a gem were added to finish the card.  Ink sprays can be quite messy, but it's fun playing with them since you always get a different result with your projects.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs!

Dies R Us Challenge November1, 2021 (Anything Goes!)

Hi, there!

Happy November 1st!

How did it get to November already?  And, it's nearly time for Christmas.  How are those Christmas cards coming along?  I made a fairly simple Christmas card using only dies for my card that can be seen below.  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

For today's card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a die cut frame from IO.  The Merry Christmas die is from Poppystamps.  Holly DP and gems to finish the card.  Another card done for my Christmas stash!

The links for the dies are listed below...

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Christmas...

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you what I have been working on lately.  I've been doing a lot of coloring in the evening while watching TV.  The poinsettia images are from Sweet 'n Sassy and the nutcracker images are from Newton's Nook.  I about went cross eyed coloring those nutcrackers.  But, love the images and the fun sentiments!

Not much new going on around here.  We are getting a lot of rain.  I hope it's not too much for the farmers for we have had a wonderful growing season this year.  They haven't gotten to the soybean fields in front and behind us yet.  I have seen a lot of corn taken down already.  And, the leaves haven't turned yet.  We are near Lake Erie and it will even be later, which will be possibly next week.  We are planning a trip to Berlin, Ohio to visit the Amish area on Wednesday.  I'm looking forward to some shopping and delicious food!

Nicky, our cat and Sheila, our dog seem to be getting along.  It is a lot of fun watching them play together!

What are you working on?  I need to work on some Thanksgiving cards yet and more birthday cards.  Thanks so much for dropping by today.  It's appreciated, take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Bee-day!

Hello, there!

Popping in to share with you a card made for my hair stylist.  She just had a birthday and we went for our hair appointments on Monday.  I gave her a small flower bouquet and the above card.  She and her husband have lots of bee hives.  They are sending some to California to help pollinate the pecan trees.  The honey that they have is the best.  I just made a chicken pineapple dish with a honey/dijon mustard sauce, so delicious!  It is one of my hubby's favorites!  If you would like the recipe, just let me know.  So, as you can see above I had to add some bees, which are stickers to the card.  The pumpkin/flower image is from Altenew.  The sentiments are from Studio Katia.

Also, I recently took a photo of my dog, Sheila and our newest fur baby, Nicky.  It seemed like forever to choose a name for the little guy.  We thought of Boots, Socks, or Domino.  Hubby thought Dominic.  We decided to shorten it to Nicky.  Finally on the day we took it to the vet we said his name is Nicky.  And, little Nicky had a good check up. No problems at all, good news!  Anyways, here is a photo of them in my craft room.  Sheila is not sure if she wants to share her bed with him, lol.  I do have a cat bed for Nicky, but she wants to be friends with Sheila.  I think they'll get along just fine.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have an awesome day!

Hugs!
