Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi, friends!

Hope you all are doing well today!  It's still cold here in NW Ohio.  We are about 20 degrees below normal.  But, it is supposed to warm up for the weekend...can't wait!

I like to make St. Patrick's Day cards for my friend, Nancy, and my husband.  We are both married to men with Irish ancestry.  I'm entering a St. Pat's card over at Word Art Wednesday.  And, here is the card I made for my friend, Nancy...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with orange and Doodlebug paper.  The leprechaun image is from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Studio G.  The leprechaun was colored with copics.  The oval scallop die is from Paper Sweeties.  The sticker sentiment is from Doodlebug, also.  Dots to finish the card.

Next up is the card I made for my husband...

It's a simple card, but I loved the sticker sentiment from Doodlebug.  The sentiment, which is embossed in gold is from PTI.  The scallop panel was made using a die from Mama Elephant.  Twine and dots to finish the card.

And, I'd like to share with you an update on my dog, Sheila.  She is a sweetie.  I think she is settling in more as time goes by.  She has gotten quite upset when we leave and we have come home to a mess at times, so I make sure that I put things up out of her reach.  She is quite the Houdini and has escaped from her crate.  Lately, we have let her out of the crate and she has done just fine.  Here are a couple  photos of her...

She can be very quick to steal my craft chair when I go to die cut.  I believe she's telling me she wants a hug and some attention.  She knows she has her bed in my craft room.  And, I tell her to lay down in her bed and not my chair after a hug and kiss.   I  think she has the cutest little face!  She's my craft companion!:-)

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you have a great rest of the week!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care, hugs!

  6. That expression on Sheila's face melts my heart! So sweet to have a crafting companion! I wondered, by your last name, if you married into the Irish. Looks like you did and are embracing it with gusto on these wonderful cards! Such a fun leprechaun and what wonderful Doodle Bug elements!
