Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I'm still working on Christmas cards.  How about you?  I've mailed quite a few out, but continue to work on some.  I'm wondering where my Christmas elf is hiding.  I seem to have a lack of energy this year to get everything done.  The joy of Christmas seems to have been zapped out of me with everything going on in the world.  Two family members have Covid.  They are at home in quarantine and are getting better, thank goodness.

But, I must focus on what I can do and see the blessings that are around me.  I'm happy that I can create Christmas cards and I really enjoyed doing some with the kids at church last Sunday.  In fact, one of the images that I made for them to color is the one I have to share with you today.  I'm entering this card over at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.  It's a new challenge to me and I just love the beautiful image they have on their side bar!  They have some wonderful images to spark your creativity!

For my card, I started with a gray card base.  I used a stencil from Simon Says for the star.  Glitz glitter gel in blue to make the star shine.  The image and sentiment is from MFT and colored with copics.  A gem for the center of the star to finish the card.

Ok, well that's all for now.  Take care and enjoy your day!

Hugs!

  2. I think most of us feel this way too. I don't have the spirit to do much decorating this year. This was a wonderful choice for the children to color at church and this is a very sweet image. I hope 2022 will be better for all of us. Be safe, I'm sorry to hear of the Covid cases in your family and glad they are on the mend.

  7. That's a beautiful glittered star and a great card as well! So sorry your family members are sick, and I understand the lack of joy with the world being as it is, but your focus on helping the children at church is bringing joy to others with a special touch! Blessings to you and yours!

  8. Brilliant design & darling nativity image! So sorry to hear you have family with Covid, but glad they're improving. So glad we've had our booster shots now that they know the immunity decreased so much in 6 months time.
