Happy Anniversary!

Hi, Friends!

My heart is heavy for all the people in Ukraine as they are experiencing war with Russia.  I pray that things improve soon.  I don't understand the unnecessary evil in the world.  I just have to place it in God's hands.

Well, it's been a while since I have posted.  I have been working on Easter, birthday, and an anniversary card.  Below is an anniversary card for a couple at my church who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

The delicate heart die is from Spellbinder's.  The number dies are from TE.  And, the sentiment die from Sweet 'n Sassy was embossed in gold.  A bow made from pearl cotton to finish the card.

Well, I was thinking winter was over, but it continues.  We got more snow today, but it won't be much at all.  It looks like we got a thin glaze of ice, too.  I have two in my family who have flown out to warmer states.  My sis has been in Florida since the end of January and our son just flew out to AZ on Tuesday.  I keeping thinking, so why am I here in this snow and ice, lol?!

For my card, I started with an aqua white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  The oven mit, hand mixer, and sentiments are from the set.  The cute yummy cupcake and heart stickers are from Doodlebug, also.  Washi tape for interest and twine to finish the card.

Today is my last post for Paper Sweeties.  I have been designing for the team for nearly nine years.  I have lots of great memories!  Paper Sweeties was my first design team and I have grown as a designer and continue to grow.  It will be missed, but my eyes are just not what they used to be.  Also, since my husband retired, we would like to do more travelling.  The pandemic has not made that easy.  But, we are thinking of getting back into camping and travel within our beautiful country!  Those are the plans for now and time will tell.  I thank you for your support and sweet comments on all my Paper Sweeties creations!

Today I am featuring the set Sweet Mini Duo/CELEBRATE with this card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  The cupcakes and sentiments are from the Sweet Mini Duo/ CELEBRATE set.  A heart embossed background was made using an embossing folder.  I used the Sweet Cuts:  With love die for the heart since it is one of my favorite dies, so pretty!  The yummy cupcakes were colored with copics.  Sparkle red yarn and gems to finish the birthday card.

Dies R Us Challenge-February 15, 2022(Valentines, Love)!

Hi, Friends!

For the second challenge of the month, the theme continues as (Valentines, Love)!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!  

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  I love the color red and lots of hearts, so it is always fun to make Valentine cards for family and friends!

For this card, I used the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Stackable die for the frame.  It works perfectly to make a shaker card.  The paper and stickers for the sentiments are from PhotoPlay.  The heart die is from Lawn Fawn(Heart Shaker Gift Tag), also.  The sequin mix is strawberry sequins from Paper Sweeties and sparkling crystals from Studio Katia.  A bow made with pearl cotton to finish the card.

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts. 

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Snow and Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

It's a sunny day here in NW Ohio!  It's great to see the sun and temps above freezing.  I got out to a doctor appointment and sweet hubby took me to lunch.  We see the snow melting some, but still has a way to go after our snow storm that we had last week.  We got about 13 inches of snow.  Hubby worked on the driveway for about three hours.  We hope it's the last of the big snow for the season.  I say one and done, lol!

Well, I do have a card to share with you today.  I recently purchased the beautiful rose die from Honey Bee.  I made a card for my sister's birthday.  I'm entering this card over at The Flower Challenge.  

For my card, I started with a gray card base.  The background was made using Brutus Monroe Shimmer Pearl Mist and Avery Elle White Ink Spray.  The rose die was colored with distress inks.  Lace was adhered with a pearl cotton bow.  The birthday sentiment is from PTI.  It's difficult to see from the photo, but it does have a very pretty shine and it's not as bright as shown in the photo.

Dies R Us Challenge February 1, 2022(Valentines, Love)!

Happy February!

We are back to having themes at times during the year for the challenges! Some months it will be Anything Goes and other months it will be following holidays/seasons.  

The theme this month is Valentines, Love!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!  

What do you think of these adorable skunks?  I don't think they are stinky at all, lol!  I think they are super cute!

For my card, I started with a red card base and paired it with a die cut panel using a die from Tutti Designs.  I inked the background with spun sugar distress ink.  The images were colored with copics.  I wanted to make a simple card for my hubby's Valentine card and resisted adding anything more.
