Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

Popping in today to share with you two birthday cards that I made for December birthdays.  The first one is for my sis, Lucretia, and the second one is for my friend, Peggi.

For the above card I used Mama Elephant poinsettia images and colored them with copics.  The birthday sentiment is from PI.  The scalloped background panel was die cut using a die from Mama Elephant.  Gems to finish the card.

Next up is the birthday card for Peggi...

For this card, I used poinsettia images from Altenew.  The same birthday sentiment from PTI.  The scalloped oval die is from Paper Sweeties.  I have mixed feelings about this card since I had a smudge of gold on the side of the card.  I thought...really?!  So, I thought ok, what would Maria do?  Uh huh, Maria always adds on, lol!  So, I tried to make it look like it was intended to have an artsy look to it.  I think I like it the more I stare at it.  What do you think?

Ok, that's all for today.  I'm not sure if I'll be posting anymore before Thanksgiving, so I wish for you all a very blessed Thanksgiving with your families and friends!  Thanks so much for visiting here today!  It's appreciated!  Take care!

Hugs!

  3. Poinsettias are wonderful for birthday cards as well as Christmas cards too! Wonderful coloring and embossing on both. I wish you and yours a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving too :)

  4. I love the colors you used on your sister's card. They are lovely together. I think the extra gold just added more interest and color to Peggi's card. I think she will love it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too, Maria. Enjoy the day.
