I had lots of fun making this coffee card!  We had a recent vacation out west to the beautiful city of Sedona!  I could spend days and days there with the beautiful scenery!  My husband helped with this card by taking a photo of the street sign and a photo of the coffee pot rock formation.  I wanted to incorporate the coffee pot rock formation on the main panel of the card, but it just wasn't coming together, so it was saved for the inside.  I'm not sure if even the street sign looks right, but it is my finished card.  I feel I did capture the color of the red rocks with the water color on the Paper Sweeties coffee pot, coffee beans, and pumpkins.  The images were gold embossed.  Dots and twine added to finish the card.

As you can see, the rock formation does look like a coffee pot!  The inside sentiments reads...Life begins after coffee.  There are other rock formations such as snoopy, cathedral, and even a bell!

Oh, deer!

Hi, there!  

I hope you all are doing well!  We recently had lots of rain and blustery winds here for a couple days.  But, today it is blue skies and sunshine.  What a big difference a couple days make.  Anyways, it's been a little over a week since I posted.  I had a couple Christmas cards done from a crop that I went to a couple months ago.  I thought maybe it would qualify for CAS Christmas challenge(plaid), but nope...oh, deer!  I guess I don't make many CAS cards.  Since I used a new die on my card, I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.  

Before I share my card with you today, I have news about my sweet dog, Sheila.  She had to have another surgery on a mammary gland.  It turned out to be Grade 1 cancer again.  It has only been since June that she had her other surgery.  We have to wrap her up like a little mummy because she shakes and shakes until she gets her dressing loose.  Monday won't come soon enough before she gets the stitches out.  But, we would do anything for our little gal, she's a trooper and brings us a lot of joy.

Ok, here is my Christmas card...

The deer die is from La La Land Crafts, which is a new company to me, but with wonderful stamps/dies!  And, the scalloped panel was made using a Mama Elephant die.  I have a few Christmas cards done and many more to go!

For my card today, I am featuring the Sweet Mini/Home set!  Madison is home on the farm gathering pumpkins for the fall harvest festival!  Her outfit is from the set What's up Chickie?  The barn is from the set Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse.  The sentiment, sunflowers, and pumpkins are from the Sweet Mini/Home set.  I hand drew the stems and leaves for the sunflowers.  I water colored the images except for Madison who was colored with copics. Twine, strawberry, and creamsicle sequins to finish the card.

For my card today, I am featuring the Sweet Mini/Celebrate set!  Such a fun set with the yummy cupcakes and the sentiment with the large font!  I gold embossed the sentiment and the sprinkles on the cupcakes were colored with copics.  Plaid paper under the sentiment for color.  I added ribbon, button, and gold color shine spray for the finishing touch.  I haven't used buttons in ages, but did love the bright yellow flower to bring out more color for the card.

Dies R Us Challenge September 15, 2021(Anything Goes!)

It's the 15th and time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!

I have a spooky card for you today!  Usually I don't do spooky cards, but I did make one of them to share with you today.  Actually, I prefer cute Halloween cards.  And, I think the inside of the card is less spooky with a darling black cat!

For my card, I started with a purple card base and paired it with a die cut panel using Lawn Fawn Zig Zig Rectangle Stackables.  The next panel was made using water colors from Altenew.  The house, pumpkins, and bat images are from IO.  The hill was made using the pond die from Lawn Fawn.  I just turned it more vertical for a high hill.  Black embossing powder and stickles on the hill for a more spooky feel to the scene.  Dots to finish the card.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, also.  Acrylic white paint was applied to the edges of the pumpkins for interest.  

The darling black cat and sentiment are from MFT.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.  

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

I just love the fall stamp image from the set Sweet Mini/Sweater Weather.  Soon fall will be upon us and I'm ready for it!  Fall is my favorite season!  I decided to use some of my favorite fall colors for the card as seen below.

For my card, I started with a blue card base and paired it with paper from Lawn Fawn.

The background of the circle was sponged with DI.  Nuvo gold drops were added to the scallops of the circle.  Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders were die cut for blue, orange, and fuschia scallop borders.  Sequins of creamsicle and raspberry and creamsicle ribbon were added for interest.  And, gold color shine spray was used for the finishing touch.

It's a beautiful September day here in NW Ohio!  It's 77 degrees with a slight breeze...just perfect!  My kind of weather...yeah!  How's things your way?  I hope you are all doing well!  I've been quite busy with DT assignments.  I have quite a few projects that will be revealed next week for Paper Sweeties 4th Quarter Sweet Kit!  Fun fall and winter creations!  Here is a little peek of one card...

Now back to today.  I made the first and last cards a couple of months ago at a crop with friends.  I like to make simple cards to have on hand when needed.  The first card was made using MFT butterflies.  The sentiment is from PTI.  And, the scalloped panel was made using a Mama Elephant die.  

Next up, is a card I made using Sweet 'n Sassy flower images.  They were colored with copics and gems added to the centers.

Dies R Us Challenge September 1, 2021(Anything Goes!)

Hi, there!

Happy September 1st!  Where did the summer go?  It always seems to go by too quickly!  

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  All you have to do is use a brand of die that Dies R Us sells...easy peasy!  So, please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating! 

For today's card, I made an ink blended sky with warm colors.  Two dies were also used with different frames.  

I started with a cream card base.  The rectangle frame is from IO and the sunflower die is from Memory Box.  The die comes with an outline of the sunflower.  I could have placed it under the flower for dimension, but I decided to place it in the top corner.  I didn't add color to it for I wanted the main sunflower to shine.  I did use a baby wipe to wipe off some of the ink background for interest.  Gems and a pearl cotton bow to finish the card.
