Happy July 1st!

As you can see above with my planner, it is almost time for July 4th! Fireworks, birthdays, and a wonderful vacation to celebrate this month...so fun!!

Here is a closer view of the first page...

For my planner, I have the red, white, and blue combo and a few sparkly stars! Fun doodlebug stickers, too! Emma is ready for the celebration! Her outfit is from the set Sweetie Pie. The Banners and stars are from the set Planner Series: All Occasions, which is one of my favorite sets!

And, now a closer peek at my second page...

A few stickers on this second page are from Me&My Big Ideas. It's packed with wonderful super fun stickers for your planner...my happy planner....wake and make...it's a crafty kind of day, etc! And, planner babe on the first page! I just couldn't resist purchasing this Miss Maker accessory book to decorate my planner!

Dies R Us Challenge-July 1, 2019!(Anything Goes using dies carried at the DRU Store)

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful summer! Happy July 1st!

It's a new month and time for another Dies R Us Challenge! The theme is (Anything Goes using dies carried at the DRU Store)! Come join in on the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate! Enjoy creating!

I decided to make a birthday card for my sis-in-law's husband! His birthday just happens to be on July 4th...how fun!

And, here is the card...

For my card, I started with a red card base. The star background DP and fun sentiment sticker are from Doodlebug. The celebrate sentiment, stars, and photo card are from Frantic Stamper. The July sentiment is from TE. The number is from Crafter's Companion, but is no longer carried in the DRU store. Twine to finish the card.

Hello!

Hi, Friends!

I've been busy around here with different things, but made time to open the June card kit from Simon Says! It put a big smile on my face with the lovely stamps and paper...so pretty!

First, I embossed the stamp image with gold and colored the flowers with copics. Sequins from Paper Sweeties were added. The panels were die cut using MFT dies. I added a ribbon and a strip of gold washi tape at the top of the card. It came together quickly before I ran a few errands this afternoon. I was missing my craft room, so making a card today was great fun!

Next up is a card I made for my husband for our 40th anniversary. Wow! I can hardly believe it's been forty years! And, we have never done this before, but we both bought each other the same store bought card...lol! I usually make a card and buy him one. The card I made him was a bit frilly, but he didn't mind...

Our son, Jeremy set up reservations near where he lives in Columbus at a fabulous restaurant, Refectory. He bought us a very nice bottle of wine for the celebration.

This beautiful building was converted from a church into a restaurant. You can see

the lovely stain glass windows in the background. The food was absolutely delicious!

Paper Sweeties-June 16, 2019-Release Rewind!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind! Today is the day that we highlight the newly released stamp sets along with previously released stamp sets for our projects. The new stamp sets this month are Mermaid and Sea you soon And, coordinating die set Sweet Cuts-Sea you soon. Today, I am sharing a card highlighting Seas the Day stamp set along with a few previously released sets. Jake is having a great day in the sun viewing all the fish in the ocean!

For my card, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with Catherine Pooler DP. Jake is in his swim trucks ready to take a swim with the fish! His outfit is from the set Surf's Up. The fish and sentiments are from the new set Seas you soon. The background was made using distress inks. For the waves, I used a previously released set Sweet Cuts-Let's go to the Beach. The sun and palm tree are from the set Island Time, The clouds are from the set Let's go to the Beach. All images were colored with copics. Twine and sequins of Cookie Dough and Robin Egg were added for the final touch!
