Peace, Love, Joy!

Hi, Friends!

How are you doing on this fine Tuesday afternoon?  I'm still busy making Christmas cards, although I think I have most of them made.  A lot of the wrapping of gifts has been done and some baking.  And, speaking of wrapped gifts, I had one little sneaky animal in the house.  Our cat, Nicky, got into his gift that was wrapped with the other gifts on the table.  Hmmm...maybe he won't get any when his sis, Sheila, opens her gift this Christmas?  Next year I'll have to think of a new hiding place, lol!  I'm entering this card over at Stencil Fun Challenge.

I did make a similar card to the one above and all die cuts and stencils are from Waffle Flower.  The set was so fun to make in different colors!

Here is the evidence from one little naughty kitty, lol!

Nicky says...I'm being good now!

Nicky loves the little red cardinal!  He has a lot of fun flipping it up in the air and chasing after it!  This is his second cardinal.  We have no idea what happened to the other one.  But. I suppose if he behaves I'll get him another one if I need to, lol!

Ok, that's all for now.  Take care and enjoy the rest of the week!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs!

O Holy Night!

Hi, Friends!

Happy December!  Whew, the time is clicking away and it's getting closer to Christmas.  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!  We went to our son's and he prepared a wonderful meal.  We stayed a few days and managed to get in some black friday Christmas shopping.  We had a great time and now it's time to think about all the Christmas preparations.  I wanted to finish up a couple cards this afternoon since I'll be seeing a couple friends this weekend.  I really do like the angel image and star arch die from Simon Says.  I've already made several of these cards, but in different colors.  I'm entering my card over at A Cut Above Challenge Blog.

Ok, I better scoot.  I told my husband that I'd be ready to set up the Christmas tree after I finish the last card and that was awhile ago.  Take care and thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care, hugs!

Hi, Friends!

I hope all is well your way!  I just wanted to pop in quick to share with you a card that I made for a friend.  I made the above card using dies from Pretty Pink Posh.  The sentiment is from Simon Says.  The embossed panel was gifted to me by my friend, Greta.  Thank you, Greta!  It was perfect for this card!  All dies were colored with copics.  Twine and dots to finish the card.

I had one more birthday celebration with my sisters last Saturday.  My sis, Christina, made a spice cake for me, so yummy!  It was a great time getting together with my sisters.  Yesterday, my hubby and I went to Amish Country.  Berlin, Ohio, where we did some Christmas shopping and ate a delicious lunch.  We visited our favorite bakery and brought home a red raspberry pie and a few tarts.  It's so peaceful and beautiful when we visit the area.  We chose a perfect day with the weather in the 60's.  Thursday we are to have wind and possibly snow flurries.  Brrrr...I am  not ready for winter!

Ok, well, I thank you for stopping by today!  Take care and have a great rest of the week!

Hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

How are you doing on this fine November day?  It's only in the 40's here and a bit windy, but the sun is shining!  I'd like to share with you a card I made for a friend's December birthday.  The flower image is from Altenew.  The die cut circles are from Pink Fresh and the gorgeous design paper is from Paper Rose.  It was an easy card to assemble.  Just some coloring with copics and die cutting.  A bow and punched tiny circles for the center of the flowers(mail friendly) to finish the card.

I had a wonderful birthday weekend.  And, I thank all who sent beautiful birthday cards and birthday wishes.  We ate out at a Mexican restaurant on the first night to celebrate two birthdays.  We celebrated our son's boss's late birthday, too.  Of course, they had to put the big Mexican hat on me and sing happy birthday to me.  At this restaurant, they have the tradition of smearing whip cream on the birthday person's face.  I was quite firm in saying NO whip cream on the face, lol!  They did it to my son last year and he took it all in stride.  The next night it was just the family and we went to a nice restaurant with delicious food.  We came back home and played cards.  The Uno game lasted an hour and a half that was quite long, but I ended up the winner!  It was a lot of fun!

How are you all coming along on your Christmas cards?  I do have some made and need to count them to see how many I have.  I'm sure that I have many more to do.  I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great rest of the week!

Hugs!

Autumn!

Hi, Friends!

Life has been busy once again, so it's been a couple weeks since I've been back here.  But, I was able to get into my craft room today and make a card for a friend to thank her for bringing a cake and gifts to the craft retreat last weekend.  Another birthday gal, Trina, had a birthday, also.  It was a great time with friends, good food, and crafting!  I focused on making Christmas and birthday cards for next month.  I'll post those later.  This weekend we will go down to our son's to celebrate my birthday.  I'm looking forward to it!  He asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I said Hobby Lobby gift card.  He said he didn't want to buy a gift card.  I said do you want to buy me a craft item?  He said sure I do.  I told him I'd like 100% cotton yarn.  So, we'll see what he comes up with, lol!

So, I'd like to tell you about the above card.  I received some new goodies from Pretty Pink Posh with the basket, leaves, and pumpkins.  It was very easy to create by coloring with copics and die cutting.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee. Gold dots to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at

EDIT:

I believe I posted the first card too quickly because after I looked at it something didn't look right.  So, I added another red leaf.  I now think that it looks more balanced.  Oh, well, live and learn, lol!

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you all are doing well.  The weather has been warm and windy, but I'll take the warm weather.  And, the leaves are very beautiful this time of year.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

It's been awhile since I've been back here on my blog.  We were on vacation last week and we saw lovely fall color in Vermont.  The color on the trees was so beautiful!  We also managed to visit several more states along the east coast to meet our goal of visiting all fifty states!  The weather was a bit chilly at first in Vermont, but the days warmed up quite nicely as we visited the other states.

Anyways, I'd like to share with you the above card that I made for my niece.  The image and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn.  The tag die is from Sunny Studio.  I colored the image with copics.  I do have the male scarecrow, so I couldn't resist recently purchasing the female scarecrow, too, so cute!

Our last state that we visited was Delaware.  We stopped at a
Veteran's park and took this photo with our T-shirts.

While we were in Vermont, we saw this
 gorgeous tree in lovely color.

A view of the church in Stowe, Vermont.  They
were working on the steeple.

A highlight of our trip is when we were in Point Pleasant, NJ
and we met Bruce Springsteen at an ice cream shop.  Such
a nice down to earth guy, so sweet!

Ok, friends, that's all for now!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, Friends!

I made a couple more Halloween cards for friends.  I already had the witch image from MFT colored, so I thought I would make a card.  The spider and web die are from Pretty Pink Posh.

Another card...

All images are from MFT.  The fence is from Pretty Pink Posh and the cloud stencil is from Simon Says.

My heart goes out to all those affected from the last hurricane.  And, I can't imagine another one is on the way.  I pray that it weakens.

That's all for now.  Take care and have a great week, hugs!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, Friends!

It's been a couple of weeks since I've been back here on my blog.  But, I have had lots of fun making Halloween and Thanksgiving cards!

Can we go back in time to the 70's?  Yes, the disco days, lol!  Do you remember the song, " Staying Alive"?!  I sure do!  And, what fun to have these stamps/dies from Taylored Expressions!  The design background paper I used is from LDRS that paired up well with those dancing skeletons!  I'm entering this card over at Double D Challenges.

For the inside of the card...

Another fun sentiment for the inside of the card!

I made a card using purple and green and here is the front of that card...

And, behind the doors…

Ok, friends that's all for now.  I hope you have a great rest of the week, take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I thought I'd better get this card posted before I send it out to a birthday girl out west!  I just love all the cute images and awesome sentiments with this wonderful desert themed stamp/die set!

For my card, I used distress inks for the sky on water color paper.  I then colored the cacti with copics and added the Cactus Hillside Border.  I added triangles on the snake for more interest.  I'm sure I'll be using this set often for family who live out in Arizona!

I'm entering this card over at the Lawn Fawn Challenge!

Ok, that's all for now!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a great week!

Hugs!

Happy Anniversary!

Wow how time flies!  I haven't been back here for nearly two weeks.  I have several cards already made up, but haven't posted them.  I have another anniversary card, which is similar to the last one that I made.  The scallop frame is from the Greetery.  The images are from Newton's Nook and the sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Last week was very busy and it ended well with a fun birthday celebration with my son.  I made him a cherry cheesecake that is his favorite, so yummy!  We played cards and even got in a little shopping.  The weather was perfect, too, although we are in need of rain.  I'm waiting for my mums to bloom.  We bought several that weren't with blooms yet.  I so hope they bloom soon!

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  Have a great rest of the week, take care!

A Big Slice of Happy!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are all having a great day!  After my doctor appointment this morning, my sweet hubby took me out to lunch.  I tell you what I think the doctors and nurse practitioners are getting younger and younger, right?!  Or, I guess it is me that is getting older and older, lol!  Anyways, the nurse practitioner and all the office staff were very helpful and nice.

We stopped at the nursery before going home to buy mums. They will bloom a lovely yellow in about a week or so.  I needed to replace three hostas that didn't do well this summer.  But, the yellow mums will give some great color next to the geraniums.  I can hardly wait until they bloom!

Anyways, I'd like to share with you the above card I made for my son's birthday next week.  What young guy doesn't like pizza, right?!  When he comes back home, we often order from his favorite pizza place.  We will get together with him next weekend to celebrate his birthday.  We're looking forward to it!

For my card, I started with a kraft card base and paired it with a red plaid.  All images and sentiment are from MFT.  Lots of tiny die cut pieces, but the effort resulted in a delicious pizza!

Ok, that's all for now, my friends.  Thanks so much for dropping by today, take care!

Happy Anniversary!

Hi, Friends!

It's been a little while since my last post.  I have quite a few cards ready to share, but today I'll share the above anniversary card for now.  We've been busy with painting our living room.  I finally decided on new curtains.  The paint that is a light gray has already made a big difference.

For my card, I started with a white base and paired it with a frame from The Greetery.  The flowers are from Altenew, which were colored with copics.  The leaf stencil is from Creative Worship.  Distressed Spritz-fossilized amber was sprayed and gold gems added to finish the card.

Well, I'm going to scoot here for we are getting ready to go camping again tomorrow for a few days.  It was a hot one today and thank goodness a storm just rolled through to give us some rain.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Have a great rest of the week, take care!

Hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

How are you doing on this fine Saturday afternoon?  We just returned home from the movie, Twisters.  My sis and son that it was a great movie, so we decided to see it today.  I used to have nightmares about tornadoes when I was younger.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have one tonight, lol!  It was great getting out and stopping for a bite to eat before coming back home to some rain.  We need more rain for our lawn is truly showing the lack of rain.  We've been trying our best to keep up with watering the plants and flowers.  I've lost a couple of hostas this year, but the geraniums are doing very well, so pretty!

The above card is for a friend who has a birthday next month.  A lot of birthdays next month and anniversaries, too.  Anyways, for this card I used a stamp/die set from Newton's Nook.  The fence die is from MFT.  Wink of Stella, gems, and a bow to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at Seize The Birthday Challenge.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  I hope you are having wonderful weekend, take care!

Hugs!

Wishing you the best!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card that I made for my MIL.  I used the new Simon Says August kit.  Such a lovely flower die, embossing folder(so pretty), and gorgeous design papers!  The card is for my MIL who has a birthday next month.  I used distress inks for the flowers.  And, included in the kit are distress sprays.  I used fossilized amber that looks gold when applied.  Gems were added to complete the card.

I'm entering this card over at the NBUS Challenge.

We are off camping again this weekend.  We are going to Hocking Hills in SE Ohio.  A very lovely scenic area.  The weather will be perfect and we are looking forward to it!

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's appreciated!  Take care!

Sending Sunshine!

Hi, Friends!

I'd just like to share with you a very quick card that I made.  In fact, it's a recycled card.  My sister sent me a thank you card and it had the lovely scenery on it as seen above.  I couldn't just throw it away, so I added a sea gull and sentiment from MFT.  A few gems to finish the card.  I'm sending this card to a friend who has been struggling with some health issues.

We were busy last weekend with a wonderful camping trip to Alum State Park here in Ohio.  It was the first time we were at this park and it was a great time!  We managed to miss the rain until we returned home, but it didn't last long.  We got more rain today, which is dearly needed for it has been hot and humid.

Here is a photo of my son, his friend, Ryan, and me enjoying breakfast.

We enjoy playing cornhole when we go camping, so fun!

(My husband, Randy, Ryan, Jeremy, and Maverick)

Ok, my friends, that's all for today.  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Stay cool and safe!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!
