Birthday and signs of spring!

Hi, Friends!

It turned cold here again in NW Ohio.  The temp right now is 48 degrees.  Is this May?  Ha, what a quick turn in the weather!  And, the weatherman talks about possible snow at the end of the week?  It's time to fire that guy, lol!  We had a wonderful warm day on Sunday.  We enjoyed the warm weather and walked in one of our favorite places at the Hayes Center in my home town.  Anyway, today I have a birthday card for a niece and photos of the signs of spring around my house.  I'm entering the below birthday card over at Stamplorations.

For my card, I started with a white card base and used a stencil from Altenew.  Distress inks of Mustard Seed and Lucky Clover were applied.  The flowers are from Altenew, also.  I colored them with copics.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.  The gems are from Ink Road.  It's difficult to see, but I added Wink of Stella on the flowers and different areas on the background.

Even though the weather turned cold again, the view outside my windows shows signs of spring...

Baby Robins!

Ok, friends, that's all for now!  If you have warm weather where you are, please send some this way....please...lol!  Take good care...stay safe!  And, thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs!

  1. What a sweet card and your stenciling work is so pretty in the colors and design you chose! Your flowers are beautiful, and how did you ever get close enough to get a photo of those baby robins? Amazing! Stay warm - the cold is heading toward PA after it's done in your area, but you can keep the snow :)

  3. Your stenciled background is gorgeous and the flowers so pretty. Your yard is beautiful and those baby robins just melt my heart. So cosy in their nest. It is cold here too, 71 last week, in the low 30's this week. What!

Pics of your flowers from your window are gorgeous. I can’t imagine snow at this time... hope the weatherman is incorrect.

  8. Ha, I think we're living with the same weather, Maria! The threat of snow didn't result in any, thankfully, but it's cold just the same. Such a beautiful birthday card and, by the look of your photos, I can see where some of your inspiration may have come from!
